Yesterday I came to thinking... What if you failed at failing? It can't be a double negative hmm...
If you try to fail on purpose then you would have to succeed, and thereby not fail... So you can't really fail at failing, because that would make you succeed.
Does it make sense to even call it "fail at failing"??

More weird thoughts to come, so keep tight wink

You know you live in 2008-09 when...

1. You go to a party, sit down and take MySpace pics.

2. You havent played solitaire with real cards in years.

3. The reason for not staying in touch with your friends
is that they don't have MySpace/YIM/AIM/MSN/FaceBook
or YouTube, lol ok...

4. You'd rather look all over the house for the remote
instead of just pushing the button on the TV.

6. Your evening activity is sitting at the computer.

7. You read this list, and keep nodding and smiling.

8. You think about how stupid you are for reading this.

9. You were too busy (or stupid) to notice number five.

10. You actually looked back up to check if there was a number five.

11. And now you're laughing at your stupidity.

12. Put this in your profile if you fell for it. You know you did...
If I did you did!

I foud this really funny!!!!!!!

[

b]Definition of a nOOb[/b]

a noob/n00b and a newbie/newb are not the same thing.
Newbs are those who are new to some task
and are very beginner at it,
possibly a little overconfident about it,
but they are willing to learn
and fix their errors to move out of that stage.

n00bs, on the other hand,
know little and have no will to learn any more.
They expect people to do the work for them
and then expect to get praised about it,
and make up a unique species of their own.

noobs will attempt to communicate in their own primitive language,
known as "n00bish."
It is a variant of the hacker language
that exposes them as having little intelligence or will to learn.
Here is an example of some noobish.
Do not attempt to comprehend it:
it cannot be discerned without professionals at hand.

stFU /../..an, i r teh r0xx0rz liek emin3m,
u cna go tO EHLL OR ATLE4St help m3
wit hthIS!!111!!!!!!!1~~1!!``!! LOLLOLOLLOLOLlOoLLOlollLLl
u n00b

Although you may find this unbelievably funny and/or annoying,
it is best to restrain yourself
and keep from talking back to them,
as they are very territorial and easily angered.
This will result in their attempted verbal abuse of you,
possibly backed up by other noobs,
because they work in packs when doing offensive tasks.
It is not an easy task to learn this language
because our intelligent accent will keep it
from sounding quite right when spoken.
You can write some simple noobish of your own, however,
by slamming your face into your keyboard repeatedly.

n00bs make their colonies on tribal forums.
They migrate in waves,
usualy jumping from tribe to tribe
and proceed to clog up bandwidth with stupid questions
and sometimes even stupid answers.
If you happen to be unfortunate enough
to be large enough to attract migrating noobs,
there will hopefully be authority in charge
who is smart enough to take extermination measures
before they can make nests and larger colonies
Larger colonies can result in the mutation of some into spammers.
Not commercial spammers,
but pointless spammers.
A noob can become one of these at any point,
but the larger the amount of noobs,
the more chance pointless spammers will appear

since noobs are basically ignorant ****,
they have a lot in common.
The most often seen characteristic is their fluency in noobish,
They will also be very self confident
as if they were the absolute best
at what they are in fact the worst at.
Also, they are quite agressive and self-centered,
and tend to laugh a lot
using many L's and O's in rapid sucession
(the noobish word for laughing like an ultimate retard).

It is their instinct to assemble in packs for defense,
and they often attempt to organize packs that they call tribes
Unfortunately for them,
tribes usually result in a total loss of communication
and they can often begin to fight amongst each other.
These tribes are quite unlike those formed by non-noobs.

Noobs have difficulty reading English
and cannot comprehend the idea of authority.
Therefore, they have an all-out disregard for rules, basic or not.
A good way to identify a noob (bad) vs. a newb (good)
is to tell them which rule they are unknowingly breaking.
If they respond with an apology and fix it,
they are probably not a noob.
If they react by insulting everything around them
in rapid noobish and causing general mayhem,
it is because they are a noob
and have had a small seizure
due to their inability to understand what is happening.

Noobs follow a variation of the draw a icon religion,
in which they worship the icon drawn
in odd rituals and put icons in their personal profiles
often accompanied with a signature of dont mess wi me im the best
They often call themselves experianced at the game
which experts say
is somewhat like calling themselves godly in a human language.
It's best to not interfere with their religious fantasies
and practices because that can lead to a noob uprising,
which can turn a forum to mush in less than a week

Only 4 things are infinite.

1. Numbers in plus and minus (.......-4,-3,-2,-1,0,1,2,3,4,.....)
2. Space (only in + though... would be weird if it were in - wacko )
3. A point in a place. You can keep zooming in and pick a new point all the time.
4. Forces. (Like gravity and magnetism)

Think about it wink biggrin

Why forces like gravity?
We still don't understand gravity at all, and everything we have found out about it, "normal"people cant understand ( i mean really understand)
If u have geometry/maths in school, you know that there are a few simple theorems on which the whole geometry is build up (like: if u have two parallel lines, you can lengthen it infinitely, and it they will never touch). But even these very simple theorems are not true, how men like Gauss or Einstein found out. Time is not absolute, the world is not how we see it, a straight line is not straight at all.

So i would be very careful in making statements about infinity^^, except "numbers" and "a point in a place", because they only exist in your imagination, and if u imaginate an infinite number, well, then there IS an infinite number wink

The mind is Limited.. Which means that it can't understand the term infinite. And even though it is all in our imagination, I still can't see why there should be a limit to numbers.

As for gravity... Well.. We know for a fact that everything with a mass has a certain gravity. Even an Atom. That force is not being stopped by other objects, it's being multiplied.. Which is why it will extend for an infinitity, IF the universe is infinite. (look at the tread: "The Big Universe" where I posted my thoughts about that).

Also the " straight line" thing... Here on earth there is no such thing as a straight line I agree.. But.. I still believe you can imagine one, And that is what makes it straight.

I'm not totally sure about what you mean with "time is not absolute"... But I think I know what you mean. As I said earlier the human brain can't imagine something infinite. Even Time. We don't know Why and How we got here.. We don't know for how long everything have existed (We can't imagine it). The only thing we DO know is that everything grows and disappears again. And all living beings will die.
But nothing disappears completely. The material we are made of will continue to exist, but in another connection to something else. Nothing will ever be totally gone.

Nothing Doesn't Exist. Even space is made of something, or else it wouldn't be there.

Time is relative. A major part of Einstein's theory of relativity. Very interesting, very disturbing. It says for example that a fast moving clock ticks more slowly then a stationary clock.

But nothing disappears completely. The material we are made of will continue to exist, but in another connection to something else. Nothing will ever be totally gone.

Well, material (physical term is "matter") can completely disappear and can be completely converted into energy.
An example: A fusion reaction in a hydrogen bomb (the strongest nuclear bomb that is known) can convert 0.7 % of its mass into energy. A 100 % conversion can only be done when an anti-matter-particle meets a normal particle. when they collide: no matter left, only energy.
Anti-matter can be produced in tiny quantities in a particel acclerator like the LHC (Large Hadron Collider) at the Swiss CERN.

One could argue that it just changes into energy, so its still there and not disappeared. This leads to the question: Does energy exist? Well, energy is a completely theoretical and imaginary term, invented by humans to explain and understand physics. Noone can measure energy.

Quote (Ateist)
Nothing Doesn't Exist. Even space is made of something, or else it wouldn't be there.

Well, space in its real meaning is the definition of nothing. There can't be less then nothing, and if theres nothing in a certain room, you call it "space".
But it would be hard to find any real "space", without and atom flying around, even in the universe.
So , yes , space "isn't there", cause space is - nothing.

Quote (Ateist)
As for gravity... Well.. We know for a fact that everything with a mass has a certain gravity. Even an Atom. That force is not being stopped by other objects, it's being multiplied.

This force can be stopped. If you destroy the matter, you destroy its mass, and so you weaken the gravity's force.

Nope, just some physics biggrin
We could talk a lot more, about questions like "Has light got a mass?" , wich leads to wave-particle-dualism and the quantum mechanics. (Uh, its not easy to find all the english words for these terms^^)
