I'm currently running 2GB RAM on my PC... I'm using Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit so that shouldn't be the problem...
My problem is I've got 4GB installed on my laptop...

I know it can handle all 4 caus its done it before...

Earlier I tried inserting my -cold- RAM card into the -warm- socket and suddenly I had all 4GB of RAM... the day after, it was back to 2GB RAM D: so I think the card somehow disconnects because of thermal expansion cry

Does anyone have any idea of what I can do to keep my 4GB RAM always?

hmm.. I've tried doing it again, and it doesn't seem to work...

Maybe the socket is lose?

I'd really wish my 2 year insurance hadn't expired <.<

I just read something about RAM.. In there the guide said that some people use different sizes of RAM (though it is dangerous) and still run them in dual channel mode (because of 2 sticks).. this made me wondering... is it possible to change between single channel and dual channel madnually? O.o caus if so, that might be my problem..

ty =) and I should mention, before they start asking... yes both my RAM are 100% Identical
and I only have 2 slots for RAM... not 4 like on a stationary pc... (so nothing A1, B1 - A2, B2 connections things)

Hey tiny =) remember I talked about how my pc crashed twice??

Anyways... when it crashed, the screen started flickering like the first picture here: http://www.google.dk/images?....bih=588

SO... the day after, my pc wouldn't even start up without the flickering and the day after again (today) it cannot start at all...
SO.. I opened my pc, like I've done before, and I found nothing... I tried collecting the parts again and start it again.. same thing..
SO.. I opened my pc once again, and thought that just for the fun of it, I'd had a look at the least expected place to be a problem.. at the bottom right corner of the pc where there is a antenna connection thingy.. (pic 1) and guess what I found.. a lose wire leading nowhere O.o its just there.. and I can't find the place where it needs to go. I think it might be the wire for the screen, and when it was loose, causing the flickering, and then the black screen I get atm..

pictures:

2) http://img46.imageshack.us/i/billede0036.jpg/
3) http://img829.imageshack.us/i/billede0037.jpg/

Do you think you could tell me where the wire needs to go, giving directions from pic 3? I'd really love if you can biggrin <3

My mom took my pc with her to work, to get some of her friends at work to look at it. She said they opened it up to look at it, and she told me that they said, that it couldn't be fixed unless I get a new processor D:

So.. I won't be able to play any games for a while until I get a new pc, or fixed my old one.. I don't yet know if it is worth fixing, but I will find out as soon as possible =)

Tror du forresten at din storebror kan ordne den for mig?

Min mors venner sagde den muligvis skulle bruge en ny processor... Din storebror kunne måske hjælpe mig med at finde en der passer til og intallere den?
