Yo twist, I just listened to the D-Type composition. I like it, sounded really nice, but if you want some constructive criticism, here's what I think might add a little extra touch to it
- At around 2:43 you change something with your sounds, but it sounds a bit weird, like it 's a bit to early or just a bit to sudden.
- It would be great if you could add a climax somewhere in the song.
- Right now the beat is pretty static throughtout the song, it would be really cool if you could build up at some point in the song and then swap to an off-beat or so. I think that'd be really awesome. And in general, the melody is very nice, but you might put in a little bit more variation into it.
Now, don't get me wrong, cause I really liked it and I wouldn't be able to make something like that myself, but I think if you change a bit more into it you could make it into something that could become at least a youtube hit for sure!!
Now i'm gonna listen to the second one
EDIT:
And now for the second song. I liked it too :).
I think that around 50 seconds in the song it builds up a bit or at least the variety in the melody that you used there could be the start of variation/climax in the song. I think it might give a nice effect if you swapped drumloops there or so, make the melody build up to higher range up to a climax where it then breaks back down to something quiet like the melody from around 1:03.
What program do you use to make this ? Fruityloops ? I'd love to try it myself, although I think it would artisticly suck donkey balls. Anyhow, really great that you can make this, it's pretty amazing really. Congratulations!
Hope you find something usefull in what I said up here, and I didn't mean it in any bad way, cause I liked what you made and probably would never be able to do it that well myself.
